Introduction
Regina S. Richmond
I grew up in the small village of Wellsville in western New York. As a young child I spent a lot of my time on my grandparents’ farm. It was at the farm where my passion for animals was born, especially horses.
Another love was born at a very early age. I wanted to learn to read at age four. When my mother gave me the book “The Black Stallion” by Walter Farley, I was hooked on reading forever. Reading every horse book in the library had transported me to strange, mysterious places with fabulous horses.
At age eleven I was gifted with my own horse. Now, I had my own stories to tell about my adventures with my horse. From telling stories to writing them down was
an easy step when someone suggested I do it. Life kept me busy through the years living experiences to later write about. Now, in retirement I have the time and the desire to bring my experiences and beliefs to life in my stories.
Living in a peaceful small village filled my mind with endless stories to write. The exciting highs and saddening low times of small town life provide many stories and anecdotes to put on paper. It fills my heart with joy to share these with my readers.
I hope my readers will enjoy reading these books as much as I
enjoyed writing them.
